Pikkers is run by Gert, a South African feed formulator who spent years watching chicken farmers fight two battles at once — getting the nutrition right for the bird, and getting the numbers right for the business. Most farmers win one and lose the other.
Pikkers is the bridge. Feed recipes designed specifically for your breed, phase and local ingredients — paired with a tracking system that tells you, every week, whether the recipe is actually earning its keep in eggs, shells and feed cost per dozen.
The name is Afrikaans for peckers. Chickens peck at the ground; we peck at the numbers. Every gram of feed, every crack, every dirty egg — it all adds up, and it's all worth getting right.
Who we work with
Layer hen operations of every size — from single-house small farms up to multi-farm groups with ten houses of sixty thousand hens each. Breeds include Hyline Brown, Hyline Silver Brown, Lohmann, Amberlink and most of the commercial crosses.
